The History Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina will be featured at the 15th Venice Architecture Biennial regarding its work from 25/05 to 30/06/2016. The History Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina has been recognized as an institution that defies the challenges of society, as a symbol of resistance; serving as a meeting space, a place for social interaction and cultural activities.
The museum will be featured at the exhibition “Sarajevo Now: People’s Museum”, sponsored by Matice Bosne i Hercegovine (Nuts Bosnia and Herzegovina). The exhibition is organized through the joint efforts of the History Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina, ETH Zurich and Baier Bischofberger Architects. In addition to the introductory panel and unique artifacts from the collection of the Historical Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina, two models will be presented: a model of the current state of the museum and its environment created by the students of Faculty of Architecture in Sarajevo and a model with potential, future additions developed by Urban-Think Tank and Baier Bischofberger architects.
