Plasticine<\/b><\/p>\n

The <\/span>Plastelinci<\/span><\/i> sculptures were created in response to fear – and today they are kept in the <\/span>Besieged Sarajevo<\/span><\/i> collection. This program was developed with the aim of helping children and young people face their own fears. The collection of 54 figurines is a testament to the strength of spirit and the need to overcome fears. The figurines serve as a model for shaping one’s own fears and encouraging creativity. The first part of the program is intended as an introduction to the museum’s stories and spaces. The second part includes an exercise in modelling and articulating one’s own fears – and in the final part of the workshop, the participants leave their “fears” behind in special archive boxes. The program is especially useful in developing motor skills and creative expression. The duration of the workshop is 45 to 60 minutes, and it is designed for groups of 15 to 25 participants.<\/span><\/p>\n

Religioscope: A Journey Through the Legacy of Four Monotheistic Religions<\/b><\/p>\n

The workshop is based on stories from the educational platform <\/span>Religioskop<\/span><\/i> (www.religioskop.ba). Through the workshop, we travel through time and learn about the contribution of religious communities to the development of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The stories are divided into several categories: architecture, infrastructure, customs, education, culture, holidays, coexistence, symbols, and public figures. The aim of the workshop is to encourage reflection on shared heritage and the contribution of religious communities in the development of society in the context of the whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina.<\/span><\/p>\n

Treasure Hunt<\/b><\/p>\n

Where are the museum treasures kept? Workshop participants will have the opportunity to explore the cultural and historical heritage preserved in the History Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina through fun and play. The workshop aims to increase interest in history as a field of study. During the workshop, participants will get to know the underground world of museums \u2013 the depots.<\/span><\/p>\n

Curator for a Day<\/b><\/p>\n

Who’s who in the museum? What is a museum? How are museum exhibits conserved? Workshop participants will have the opportunity to find out what curators do and what their responsibilities are. During the practical part, all participants will get involved in a short training session with museum curators to find out about their jobs and responsibilities. Afterwards, visitors will have the opportunity to explore museum stories and carry out specific museological tasks.<\/span><\/p>\n

Photographic Storytelling<\/b><\/p>\n

Did you know that to create a handmade camera we only need cardboard, a metal plate, and glue? Participants in the <\/span>Photographic Storytelling<\/span><\/i> workshop will have the opportunity to make their own camera and use it in practice. This involves working in the darkroom and using photo developing materials. A manual camera can only take one photo at a time. The photo will be developed immediately in the darkroom with the help of the museum photographer. After the workshop, participants can take their camera and photos home with them.<\/span><\/p>\n

Improvisations: Do it Yourself!<\/b><\/p>\n

The workshop is based on recycling and adopting a do-it-yourself approach in everyday life. The participants of the workshop have the opportunity to analyse the inventions that the citizens of Sarajevo made during the siege – and then, working as part of a small team, they make candles, design a fashion collection, or invent new recipes.
