About the Collection<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

The Art Collection has more than 2300 works of art assembled through commission, purchase, and donation from artists, their families and owners of works of art. It consists mostly of works inspired by social themes, World War II and the defence of the country from fascism and depicts historical events, personalities, and places. The artwork in the collection, dated\u00a0 from 1923 to today, are made using different techniques.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The collection represents 110 renowned artists from Bosnia and Herzegovina\/Yugoslavia: Vojo Dimitrijevi\u0107, Ismet Mujezinovi\u0107, Branko \u0160otra, Daniel Ozmo, Rizah \u0160teti\u0107, Jovan Bijeli\u0107, Roman Petrovi\u0107, Peter Tije\u0161i\u0107, Mica Todorovi\u0107, Vilko \u0160eferov, Mario Mikuli\u0107, Mersad Berber and many others, as well as artists from other countries: Velibor Ma\u010dukatin, Bo\u017eidar Jakac, \u0110or\u0111e Andrejevi\u0107-Kun, Ljubo Ravnikar, Stanislav Belo\u017eanski, Marijan Detoni, Krsto Hegedu\u0161i\u0107, Tode Ivanovski, Walter Kraus, Stane Kumar. There are also works by our prominent cartoonists: Hasan Fazli\u0107, Adi Mulabegovi\u0107 and Pier Kri\u017eani\u0107. Besides works on paper and canvas, the collection also includes sculptures made in bronze, marble, plaster, and clay by Antun Augustin\u010di\u0107, Ljupko Antunovi\u0107, Berta Baruh, Ibrahim Bilajac, Slavko Bril, Nandor Glid, Luka Ili\u0107, Arfan Hozi\u0107, and Alija Ku\u010dukali\u0107, as well as tapestries by Vojo Dimitrijevi\u0107 and Jagoda Bui\u0107.<\/span><\/p>\n

Some objects from the collection decorate the interior of the Museum: The mosaic \u201cBosna\u201d by the artist Mladen Srbinovi\u0107, the relief in bronze \u201cUprising\u201d by Valerije Michieli, the art installation \u201cUprising\u201d by Nandor Glid, the stained glass panel \u201cDeath to Fascism Freedom to People\u201d and the tapestry entitled \u201cBrotherhood and Unity\u201d by Vojo Dimitrijevi\u0107, sculptures \u201cMarshall Tito\u201d and \u201cCarrying the Wounded\u201d by Antun Augustin\u010di\u0107.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n\t\t
