wd_hide_on_mobile=&#8221;no&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221; woodmart_inline=&#8221;no&#8221; text_larger=&#8221;no&#8221;]<\/p>\n<div class=\"xdj266r x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs\">\n<p data-start=\"53\" data-end=\"131\"><strong data-start=\"53\" data-end=\"131\">How Did the Women of Bosnia and Herzegovina Rebuild Society After the War?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"133\" data-end=\"689\">The History Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina will soon open the exhibition <strong data-start=\"211\" data-end=\"226\">\u201cOur Woman\u201d<\/strong>, which presents the results of a project dedicated to the role of women in rebuilding society after 1945 and 1995.<br data-start=\"341\" data-end=\"344\" \/>We traveled across Bosnia and Herzegovina, opened museum collections, and gathered new stories and materials.<br data-start=\"453\" data-end=\"456\" \/>The exhibition documents the ways in which women, during postwar periods, actively contributed to the reconstruction of their communities\u2014through work in education, healthcare, culture, social protection, activism, and everyday life.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"691\" data-end=\"768\"><strong data-start=\"691\" data-end=\"706\">\u201cOur Woman\u201d<\/strong> examines two key postwar periods in Bosnia and Herzegovina:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"769\" data-end=\"798\">\n<li data-start=\"769\" data-end=\"783\">\n<p data-start=\"771\" data-end=\"783\">after 1945<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"784\" data-end=\"798\">\n<p data-start=\"786\" data-end=\"798\">after 1995<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"800\" data-end=\"1227\">After the end of the Second World War, women became key actors in the renewal and transformation of society.<br data-start=\"908\" data-end=\"911\" \/>Organized through the <strong data-start=\"933\" data-end=\"969\">Antifascist Front of Women (AF\u017d)<\/strong>, they participated in building a new order, promoting equality, solidarity, and collective work.<br data-start=\"1066\" data-end=\"1069\" \/>During this period, women moved en masse from villages to cities, took jobs in factories and industry, yet simultaneously faced deep-rooted patriarchal norms.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1229\" data-end=\"1278\">The exhibition also raises important questions:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1279\" data-end=\"1544\">\n<li data-start=\"1279\" data-end=\"1353\">\n<p data-start=\"1281\" data-end=\"1353\">What were the greatest challenges for women in postwar reconstruction?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1354\" data-end=\"1439\">\n<p data-start=\"1356\" data-end=\"1439\">How did their involvement in public, political, and economic life affect society?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1440\" data-end=\"1544\">\n<p data-start=\"1442\" data-end=\"1544\">Did the ideals of equality truly take root, or did they remain overshadowed by the needs of the state?<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1546\" data-end=\"1653\">Visit the exhibition and discover stories of women\u2019s resistance, work, and struggle for a place in history!<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1655\" data-end=\"2040\">The initiative <strong data-start=\"1670\" data-end=\"1732\">#WPS \u201cWomen Lead on the Path to Peace and Security in BiH\u201d<\/strong>, supported by the <strong data-start=\"1751\" data-end=\"1795\">United Nations Peacebuilding Fund (#PBF)<\/strong>, is jointly implemented by <strong data-start=\"1823\" data-end=\"1920\">UN Women Bosnia and Herzegovina, UNFPA Bosnia and Herzegovina, and IOM Bosnia and Herzegovina<\/strong>, on behalf of the <strong data-start=\"1939\" data-end=\"1964\">United Nations in BiH<\/strong>, in cooperation with the <strong data-start=\"1990\" data-end=\"2039\">Ministry for Human Rights and Refugees of BiH<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator css=&#8221;&#8221;
