School programs

The History Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina is an educational institution with more than seven decades of experience in working with school audiences.

The museum’s implementation of school programs is twofold: schools visits to the museum, and museum visits to schools. Also, the museum acts as an interactive classroom that follows the education curriculum. The museum team, in consonance with the teaching staff, develops workshops dealing with various historical topics: the Middle Ages, the Ottoman period, the Austro-Hungarian period, the Great War, the Second World War, the 1992-1995 war. Museum workshops are not only based on themes related to the subject of history, but also from the following disciplines: language and literature, culture, religion, democracy and human rights, art, sociology, archaeology, psychology, heritology, heraldry, and museology.

Museum programs can be adapted according to the needs and interests of participants.
