77 Million paintings/Brian Eno

The multimedia installation 77 Million Paintings, by the British musician, producer, and visual artist Brian Eno, is a cultural event that marked the year 2018 in the region – and it took place in the History Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The project 77 Million Paintings was presented for the first time in 2006 in Tokyo, then in London and Venice, and in the following years in numerous European countries, Canada, the United States of America, Mexico, and Australia. Each installation was made specifically for the space in which it was exhibited, including the one hosted by the History Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Sarajevo exhibition is enriched with motifs of the city, which in the deconstruction of visual elements and sound are transformed into pure abstraction, turning the museum into a space of contemplation and reflection. During the 77 days of the exhibition, numerous accompanying events were held. The exhibition was realized through a collaboration between the History Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the British Council.
