What we warned about has happened…

Over the past few days, the History Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina has repeatedly warned the competent authorities of the urgent need to implement all necessary measures to protect the Museum building—a National Monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina—during the construction works taking place in its immediate vicinity.

On 21st of July, panels fell from the museum’s cubus facade, in the atrium, which is hosting one of the Museum’s permanent exhibitions. Fortunately, thanks to the safety tape we had put up earlier, no one was injured.

We have sent a new letter to the competent authorities requesting the immediate submission of all documentation relating to the protective measures put in place, the convening of a joint meeting of all stakeholders involved, and an urgent expert assessment and response by the responsible authorities.
