The photographic material kept in the History Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina is a particularly important part of the photographic heritage of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The exhibition Photo-depot is the first exposition on the history of the Collection – and speaks about the importance of photography as a method of historical and museological documentation, the operation of the museum’s photographic service, and the role of photographs in the production of exhibitions. Visitors have the opportunity to see how photographs were once “photoshopped”, the glass plates that were used before the invention of photographic film, the most frequently used photographs from the Collection, and old tools and devices from the photo laboratory of the Museum of the Revolution of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
